ABOUT ME
Dr George Kuruvilla Thamarappally is the head of ENT and cochlear implant surgery department at Lourdes Hospital Kochi and senior consultant at Renai Medicity Kochi.
He is a trained Paediatric ENT surgeon, having completed Fellowship training at Stollery Children’s Hospital, Univ of Alberta, Canada. MBBS from KMC Manipal and by God’s Grace secured the first rank and gold medal for M.S ENT under the Rajiv Gandhi Univ of Health Sciences Bangalore in 2002.
Advanced ENT surgical training at CMC Vellore from 2003 to 2007 and was recently conferred FRCS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow.
Treatment of hearing loss is being an area of interest, Dr Kuruvilla and team have taken an active role in early identification and management of hearing loss by conducting regular cochlear implant camps in various parts of central Kerala, to detect patients, particularly children with severe to profound hearing loss who will benefit from cochlear implant surgery
